In order to deal with the globalization of environmental protection industry during the post-epidemic period, BRISEA Group and China Association of Environmental Protection Industry jointly held the Overseas Environmental Protection Market Investment Seminar during CIEPEC 2021 on July 14, to discuss the opportunities and challenges of environmental protection industry investment and development in foreign countries.

The conference invited senior experts, scholars and investment consultants in the environmental protection industry to give in-depth explanation and analysis on the investment opportunities of foreign environmental protection technology; joint research and project implementation of environmental protection technology; and the development trend and opportunities of investment, financing and mergers and acquisitions in the environmental protection industry. The conference attracted over 150 practitioners from nearly 100 domestic environmental protection enterprises to attend.

At the beginning of the conference, Mr. Xiaowei Dong, the General Manager of Beijing BRISEA Group, introduced the guest speakers, and Ms. Yang Yan, the Director of the International Department of China Association of Environmental Protection Industry (CAEPI), gave the opening speech.

On 20thOct. 2016, Mr.Guo Jing and Ms.Zhang Jieqing, the Director and Deputy Director of China – ASEAN Environmental Protection Cooperation Center (CAEC) and his delegation visited CAEPI. Mr.Fan Yuansheng, the President of CAEPI, Mr.Zhang Lian, the Vice President of CAEPI, Mr.Teng Jianli, the Deputy Secretary-General of CAEPI and some other related departments Directors of CAEPI attended the meeting.

Mr.Guo Jing introduced the current situation of the international cooperation between CAEC and China Center for SCO Environmental Cooperation (CSEC). He said that CAEC has close contact with all the national environmental protection departments of the “One Belt And One Road”. CAEC have taken up the deep study of the environmental policy, environmental protection industry development level and environmental market condition of all the nations that along with “One Belt And One Road”. He hoped that the cooperation between CAEC and CAEPI can promote the environmental protection enterprises of China go Global. Mr.Zhang Jieqing gave a detailed account of the work and achievements made by CAEC about the policy of “One Belt And One Road”.

Mr.Teng Jianli, the Deputy Secretary-General introduced the main business of CAEPI. Subsequently, both sides conducted in-depth discussions on building of international cooperation and exchange platform for enterprises, providing service support especially technical support, technical achievements demonstration, information sharing, joint training, etc.

Mr. Fan Yuansheng said that the visit of CAEPI is welcome. He said that a lot of outstanding environmental protection technologies and equipments have reached the international leading level. They have got the capabilities to go Global and also to explore the international market demand. CAEC has done a lot of work in implementing the strategic plan of “One Belt And One Road”, and achieved a lot of achievements. CAEC and CAEPI will strengthen exchanges and cooperation, give full play to their advantages, start from concrete work and help environmental enterprises of China go Global.

For the purpose of understanding exhibitor’s development situation, needs and difficulties in China, and to provide exhibitors better and deeper-level services, the International Department of China Association of Environmental Protection Industry visited Sumitomo Chemical (China) Co., Ltd. in Beijing on 16th May 2016, who is an exhibitor of CIEPEC2015.

During the meeting, Sumitomo Chemical expressed that they would like to meet more Chinese companies and promote their soil remediation and ground water treatment technology and equipment.

Recently, the International Department of CAEPI recommended Guangdong Jiangmen Sanqing Environment Technology Engineering Co., Ltd. to the Sumitomo Chemical Group, and assisted them to build contact. They had effective communication and may achieve cooperation in the future.

On 16th May 2016, China Association of Environmental Protection Industry visited Sumitomo Chemical (China) Co., Ltd. in Beijing.

Sumitomo Chemical is conducting business globally with more than 100 Group companies in fi­ve fi­elds: petrochemicals & plastics, energy & functional materials, IT-related chemicals, health & crop sciences, and pharmaceuticals.

At CIEPEC2015, Sumitomo Chemical showed their soil-related business such as soil surveys, analysis and remediation that had been conducted in Japan for 20 years, achieved very good results.

Mr. Hironobu Nishi, the director president of Sumitomo Chemical (China) Co., Ltd. said, Sumitomo Chemical have been kept very good relationship with CAEPI since CIEPEC2105, will participate in CIEPEC2017.

Mr. Su Fan, the director of international department of CAEPI said, CAEPI will provide assistance to Sumitomo Chemical on seeking suitable partners and projects.

Dec 12 2016, Mr. Fan Yuansheng, the president of China Association of Environmental Protection Industry (CAEPI), accompanied by Mr. Su Fan and Ms. Yang Yan, the director & deputy director of International Department of CAEPI, visited the Sino-Singapore Eco-City in Tianjin, China.

The visiting was also accompanied by Ms. Jin Meizhu, the deputy director of Management Committee of the Eco-City, Mr. Xing Zhengang, the vice president of CAEPI, Mr. Qin Baoping and Mr. Wang Zhishun, the general secretary & vice general secretary of the Tianjin Association of Environmental Protection Industry (TJAEPI), who provided a thoroughly introduction of the Eco-City, regarding to the sandbox of the urban planning, the operation & maintenance center, the stopping spots for environmental sanitation, and the animations industry park, etc.

The Sino-Singapore Eco-City in Tianjin, comprising a series of projects, is a cross-border strategic cooperation between the governments of China and Singapore, which took plenty of advanced experience from the construction of Singapore city in terms of the urban planning, environmental protection, resources saving, recycling economy, ecological construction, use of renewable energy sources, water recycling, sustainable development, and the promoting of community harmony. Being concerned by leaders of both countries, the Eco-City consists its principle of sustainability in the utility of resources, nature environment, and development pattern; be specific in the ecological economy, ecological society, ecological environment, and ecological culture; by which, the key features of the Eco-City in terms of “Priority in Ecological Environment”, “People First”, “Neo-Pattern Industries”, and “Eco-Transportation” could be emphasized and approached. The blueprint of the urban planning could be interpreted by “One Axis”, “Three Cores”, “Four Regions”, “One Islands”, “Three Water Areas”, and “Six Traffic Channels”.

After the on-field visiting, Mr. Xu Datong, the director of Management Committee of the Eco-City, hosted a official meeting for Mr. Fan. Mr. Xu expressed the warmest welcome to Mr. Fan the party from CAEPI, and gave a introduction of the current achievements of the waste management, waste-water treatment, and the heavy-metal remediation in the Eco-City. Mr. Fan praised that the Eco-City is an outstanding exemplary demonstration in the construction of modern city and the cross-border cooperation in environmental protection field, and should be duplicated and promoted to other cities in China.>/p>

Meanwhile, Mr. Su sent invitation for the 15th China International Environmental Protection Exhibition and  Conference in Beijing on Jun 13-16 2017, which provides a demonstrative platform that could significantly expand the influence of the Eco-City in the world.
