USTDA – Water Training
Scranton Gillette Communications and BRISEA joined efforts and were awarded a contract from the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) to deliver twelve seminars in China as part of the U.S-China Water Quality Cooperation Program. This project aims to identify opportunities in China for water quality improvement and to introduce relevant technologies through seminars, roundtable discussions, and conferences.
The SGC-BRISEA team has successfully organized 12 seminars covering various topics such as water quality protection regulations, policy and management frameworks, water quality evaluation and control, lake restoration, new technologies in wastewater treatment, and wastewater treatment residual disposal, along with water reclamation, etc.
ASTM Training
ASTM International is an organization that develops and publishes technical standards, with over 35,000 experts from more than 140 countries participating in the standard-setting process. These experts represent various industries, academic institutions, inspection departments, government bodies, and related organizations, with more than 7,700 of them from outside the United States. ASTM standards are formulated through a voluntary consensus process and are designed to meet the global technical requirements and technological advancements, without being specific to any country or region.
ASTM is headquartered in the United States and has a strong technical collaboration with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in various domains. The ASTM standards related to environmental protection cover areas such as atmospheric conditions, water and soil quality, hazardous waste management, environmental toxicology, site assessment, and risk management. The EPA directly applies these standards in their operations and has authorized ASTM to develop new standards tailored to the EPA's requirements.
BRISEA is the exclusive ASTM-authorized entity to conduct ASTM training sessions in China, specializing in environmental consulting and facilitating environmental technology policy exchanges between China and the US. The trainers are seasoned professionals in environmental and technological fields and possess in-depth knowledge of ASTM standards.
The ASTM-endorsed environmental training programs offered by BRISEA include, but are not limited to, Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessment Processes, Vapor Encroachment Screening for Property Involved in Real Estate Transactions, Environmental Site Assessments for Commercial Real Estate, Property Condition Assessments, and Risk-Based Corrective Action (RBCA) for petroleum and chemical releases. BRISEA's trainers are ASTM-trained in the US and adept at delivering the ASTM curriculum effectively.
